Lake Signs
Lake Signs was an exploration, illumination and celebration of the hand-painted signs found on Lake Street, as part of Make on Lake with the Lake Street Council. I started to document the sign painters of Lake Street to create a directory of their signs. It seems that the painters of these signs are no longer around, but if you have any info on who they are, please be in touch!
I did happen upon on painter in action on the Las Cuatro Milpas tacqueria sign. Robert from ATF Customs. atfcustomsmn@gmail.com
The project is culminated in a sign making workshop for neighbors to create signs that nod to the style of the many local, hand-painted signs.
